Psychosomatics is a rather unknown field in the public eye. Yet it would be extremely important to pay more attention to this science. Many people only know the term as a diagnosis after a long odyssey of various medical examinations. Unfortunately, patients are all too often labelled with it after doctors have found no treatable symptoms in all their examinations. Then the condition is simply labelled as psychosomatic with the opinion that the issues are just imagined. And then you are alone with your problems. Although talking to a psychologist might actually help you. In my experience, it has been shown that pretty much all illnesses have an underlying psycho-emotional component. This applies in particular to chronic complaints such as autoimmune diseases or even cancer. Emotions are energies that "sit" in very specific spots in the body. If these are not resolved, the disturbances in the energy field cause corresponding physical damage over time.
I want to give you a few examples to illustrate this. Loneliness and heartbreak are damaging to the heart. We all know that. A few years ago, I found a study that showed that heartbreak actually causes a broken heart. It's not just a figure of speech. One can see the cracks in an examination. If this is not addressed, it can lead to a heart attack, for example, caused by the loss of the will to live. Frustration leads to anger and if it can't be released, this can show up on your skin. If everything is simply "swallowed" in conflict situations, the emotions get stuck in the body and at some point the body will try to push them out through the skin. You can imagine it like a bursting pressure cooker. If the pressure gets too high, the thing explodes. This can also affect the vocal cord region. We are bursting at the seams, as we say in German. One possible consequence could be a tumour developing at that region. Stomach ulcers are a well-known consequence of constant anger. If you are always fighting against something, this can lead to problems in the joints. You are pushing against the thing. Maybe it's work, your dominant partner, perhaps even life itself. This puts a strain on your joints in the long run. It's like spending years pushing back a truck that is slowly rolling towards you and threatening to run you over. Stress leads to pain in the neck and shoulders. These are tensions that arise because we are in a constant state of "fight or flight". Fear is the trigger here. If you spend your whole life beating yourself up, this self-hatred can lead to autoimmune diseases. You can imagine it as an internal war. As if you want to destroy yourself. And so on and so forth…
There are thousands of examples that we are all familiar with from everyday life. Unfortunately, this is often ignored and dismissed as imagination. Instead, all kinds of tests are carried out that only cover the material aspects of the body. And then of course, they don't find anything useful and so the genes are often blamed for causing the conditions. However, it has long been known that in many cases our genes can at best be seen as a favouring factor. The science of epigenetics shows us how external factors control the genes. The information that we pass on to our body in the form of emotions determines the activity of our genes. If we change the information, the genetics also change accordingly. Our body is a reflection of our inner emotional world.
This is one of the focal points of my work. Spiritual healing is emotional healing. Emotions are energies and the flow of energy determines the functioning of the physical body. If the energy no longer flows freely, illnesses develop. It is possible to restore the flow of energy using methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Reiki, Qi Gong and the like, but if the emotional component is ignored, that's more like a fire drill. The disorder will come back. Ideally, these techniques should be combined with emotional healing to achieve a lasting solution.
The Encyclopedia of Ailments and Diseases by Jacques Martel is THE reference work on this topic. No matter whether you work with it professionally or deal with self-healing privately. The texts are written in a way that will help you just by reading them.
Die Botschaft deines Körpers – Die Sprache der Organe by Kurt Tepperwein explains the connections between physical symptoms and psycho-emotional causes in great detail and also provides the appropriate measures that you can apply independently at home. Everything is explained simply and clearly. A very valuable book that no household should be without.
